Unlike Olympic Sports in Germany, Russia, China and other countries Olympic Sports in the United States of America are not Government funded; leaving athletes who participate in these sports without any guaranteed yearly salary or comprehensive health insurance. This lack of guaranteed compensation leaves me other athletes who participate in Olympic Sports to seek out private funding from businesses and individuals in order to afford the financial hardships of everyday life and expenses associated with training. The sponsorship dollars that I garnish allows me to continue representing America around the Globe in World Cup Competition.

I invite you to join my team, becoming my sponsor and sharing in my journey towards the 2012 World Championships in Lake Placid, NY and the 2014 Olympic Games in Sochi, Russia.  I want you to see the world through my eyes, sharing in my experiences first had via e-mail, photos and videos as I travel the world competing in international competitions. I want you to feel the emotions as I do knowing the joys of representing your country, the pure adrenalin of taking on the world with your teammates, the exhaustion of pushing your body past its limits, and that intoxicating high that only comes from laying it all on the line mentally, physically and emotionally and being triumphant!

How The Sponsorship Money is Applied

Sponsorship money I received is used to offset of living and training expenses I incur. These expenses include but not limited to health care insurance, hotel stays in Calgary, Canada; Park City, Utah and other housing cost throughout the year. It is used to purchase airline tickets and rental vehicles for training in Colorado Springs, Co; Lake Placid, NY; Park City, Utah; and Calgary, Canada. Funding is used to purchase a variety of training (Bobsled helmet, Burn vest, Ice spikes, supplements, winter shoes, pushing gloves, track spikes and etc.) for both summer and winter training, all of which totals over $30,000 dollars in expenses per year.

I would available for appearances and motivational speaking covering topics of Team Cohesion, Work Ethic, Healthy Living, and etc. to your organization or on behalf of your organization to groups in your community. I will endorse quality product and services that your organization manufactures and distributes  

Donating money my training is a direct tax write off to individuals or company sponsors via the Utah Skeleton and Bobsled Association which is set up as a 501c (3).

Sponsoring parties will receive worldwide recognition annually through televised World Cup Races broadcast overseas on Euro-Sport, and domestically on speed channel, the internet and NBC sports.

Sponsoring parties will receive up to date e-mails of my training, race results and my general adventures on World Cup.

Level of Audience Interest / Loyalty: In 2010-2011 bobsled races reached 600 million viewers having over 80 hours of world cup and 22 hours of World Championship coverage with networks around the planet.

Where and How To Send Sponsorship Donations

All sponsorship donations can be sent to the address listed below. Checks should be made out to the Utah Skeleton and  Bobsled Association (USBA), along with a separate letter stating that the funds are for Jesse Beckom III's training.  The tax ID number for the association is 87-0628120.
